Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Pup Litter. By creating an account you agree to them.
Last updated 21 August 2026
1. Who we are
Pup Litter is operated by [Registered company name], [Registered business address]. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means the person or business using the service.
2. Your account
You must provide a valid email address and verify it before you can sign in. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. If you invite team members, you are responsible for what they do with the access you grant them. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Plans, trials and billing
New accounts receive 14 days of the Professional Kennel plan at no cost and without a payment method. When the trial ends, the account moves to the Free Hobbyist plan unless you choose a paid plan.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate partial months. If a payment fails we may suspend access to paid features until it is settled. We will give you at least 30 days notice before increasing the price of a plan you are subscribed to.
4. Your records remain yours
You keep all rights to the records, pedigrees, photographs, documents and other content you put into the service. You grant us only the permissions we need to host, back up, display and process that content in order to run the service for you. We do not sell your records and we do not use them to train machine learning models.
You can export your data at any time while your account is active. See our Privacy Policy for how long we keep it after closure.
5. Information about the people you deal with
The service lets you store contact details for buyers, waitlist applicants, co-owners and veterinary contacts. That information belongs to them, not to you or to us. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store it, for telling those people what you do with it, and for honouring any request they make to see or delete it. When we process that information we do so on your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of animal welfare law or the rules of a registry or kennel club you are subject to;
- upload malicious files, or attempt to bypass the scanning applied to uploads;
- attempt to access another customer account, or probe, scan or overload our infrastructure;
- resell or white-label the service without our written agreement;
- misrepresent a pedigree, health record, registration or test result generated through the service.
7. Documents the service produces
The service helps you produce contracts, invoices, pedigree sheets and health records from the information you enter. Those outputs are tools, not professional advice. In particular:
- contract templates and e-signature features are not legal advice, and we do not warrant that any contract is valid or enforceable in your jurisdiction;
- health, medication and vaccination records are not veterinary advice and are not a substitute for your veterinarian;
- the coefficient of inbreeding and any related figures are calculated from the pedigree you have entered. They are only as complete as that pedigree, and are provided for information rather than as a breeding recommendation.
Decisions about mating, health and placement remain yours.
8. Availability
We work to keep the service available and to protect your data, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may take the service down for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost breeding or sale opportunities, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising out of these terms in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Because your records matter, keep your own copies. The export tools exist for this purpose, and we recommend using them periodically.
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or that has an unpaid balance, and will normally warn you first where circumstances allow.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify account owners by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law jurisdiction]. Questions about them can go to [legal contact email], and anything else to info@puplitter.com.
